In the week’s activity, there was a shift towards the practice of mean reversion after the previous period’s activity of rapid fluctuations in the market.
Leading the major gainers was Singapore, with an increase of +64.8% after a fall of –58.3%. The country was followed by Uzbekistan, whose market recorded an increase of +31.9% due to the opening of the regulated iGaming market with its first two licensed operators.
Alberta was the worst performer during the analyzed week with a drop of –71.0%, as it was experiencing a correction after the launch of its regulated market. While there was a market reaction to the announcement of Entain on July 29, the decline occurred in less than an hour after the spike. Another week’s loser was Russia with a decline of -56.7%.

Top 5 Gainers of the Week

Singapore (+64.8%)
Singapore experienced a massive positive change after adjusting from a previous figure of -58.3%. It was revealed that the losses were attributed to the investigation of the shell company GemBet, which resulted in nine arrests, six freezing assets, and seizures that totaled more than S$39,000.
Germany (+32.1%)
Germany saw decent results from its football activity. A few matches took place on July 30 when Bayern Munich defeated Rottach-Egern by 15–0, and Borussia Dortmund traveled to Japan for preseason matches on July 29 and August 1.
Uzbekistan (+31.9%)
Uzbekistan achieved an important milestone in its iGaming market development. On July 31, Olimpbet and Oltinbet became the first gambling companies with a license to operate in the region, making the transition from years of legalization efforts to a properly regulated sector.
Vietnam (+28.1%)
In Vietnam, the increase was influenced by increased law enforcement efforts among illegal betting operations in the country. On July 31, it was reported that the Ministry of Public Security arrested 26 individuals who were involved in Bong88 and lô-đề operations across cities Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and An Giang.
Botswana (+23.3%)
Botswana benefited from renewed football-related attention following regional tournament developments. On July 24, COSAFA and BFA president Tariq Babitseng confirmed that South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe had submitted a joint bid to host AFCON 2028.
